Well I guess I should tell a bit about myself. I have Fibromyalgia, have only been dignosed less then a year. The meds the Dr's had me on has caused me to gain so much weight that I don't hardly look like myself anymore. I also have nuropathy, which that is what they found first, which was dicovered in 2008, maybe early 2009. The pain gets so bad I can't hardly stand it, but I keep my chin up and say "It's all good, it will get better." I am not on any medication right now due to no insurance, which isn't helping anything at all.
Okay, well what brought all this stuff on, I can not say for sure. I can tell you what happened for Dr's to figure out what is wrong with me. I have suffered from very bad Migrains and have since I was 12yrs old. In early 2007 I started getting headaches that would start when I woke up and didn't seem like they were ever going away. Some days were worse then others. I went to my Dr at the time and he sent me to a Nurologist. After many tests they told me I have a pinched nerve in my neck. On Sept 29, 2008 I went to have a shot in my neck and, well lets just say I haven't been RIGHT since then.
Since all this I have very little feeling (or hightened feeling maybe) in my left leg. Upon futher testing the Dr's told me and keep telling me I am too young to have all this going on with me. They still to this day have NOT found where the nerve is pinched in my lower back that is causing my leg issues. They keep telling me that there is NO way the nerve in my neck is affecting my legs.
I hope this gives some insight on ME...later posts will be only about my illness, but I will keep posted about how I am doing.

ReplyDeleteI did enjoy reading your first post very much! Having fibro myself, I do know the long line of medications that they put you on. Luckily, I have found ONE medication that does seem to work for the fibro....but you will want insurance for this one, as it is $157.00/month. It's Savella. I've been taking it for a year now and it is working like a charm. :0)
